5 SIMPLE HEALTH TIPS: Make it a daily habit!

Need a few tips for motivation throughout the day and feel healthier throughout the day? Try using these tips and apply them to you daily routine.

1. Wash Up Before Bed

Don’t go to sleep without thoroughly washing your face. Over the course of the day your skin and pores collect dirt and oil. If you don’t wash it all off before you hit the hay, the dirt will clog your pores overnight and you’ll wake up with irritated skin that is quite the opposite of a healthy, glowing complexion.

2. Eat Fat to Avoid Fat

If you’re working on getting leaner, don’t cut out good, healthy fats like omega-3 fatty acids. Lack of these nutrients can negatively impact the speed (and how) you age. To keep feeling and looking younger, incorporate more oily fish (like mackerel and sardines) and nuts into your diet, which also help the skin stay supple and wrinkle-free. Omega-3s also help boost brain health and keep the heart in good shape.

3. Eat Less Salty Food

Limit the amount of salty food because eating excess salt can build up your blood pressure, putting a burden on your heart and may leave you with bags under your eyes.

4. Drink Less Coffee

Coffee can help you stay awake but it can cause sleeping issues. Caffeine takes a while wear off and can cause sleeping problems, even if you don’t feel it. For this reason, it’s best to limit coffee consumption for the morning hours and limit it to early afternoon at the latest, preferably before 2:00 pm.

5. Keep drinking water

Don’t have soft drinks or energy drinks while you’re exercising. Stay properly hydrated by drinking enough water during your workout (just don’t overdo things, as drinking too much water can also be dangerous).
