Kinumpirma ng Department of Justice (DOJ) na sila na ang kakatawan para sa mga opisyal ng gobyerno sa consolidated na habeas corpus petition ng magkakapatid na Duterte.
Ito ay matapos ang pag-atras ng Office of the Solicitor General (OSG) bilang abogado ng gobyerno.
Sa ambush interview, sinabi ni Justice Secretary Jesus Crispin Remulla na naisumite na nila ang komento sa Supreme Court kahapon.
Hindi kumatawan ang OSG dahil sa paninindigan na hindi nila kinikilala ang hurisdiksyon ng International Criminal Court (ICC) sa Pilipinas.
Inihain ang petisyon nina Rep. Paolo Duterte, Mayor Baste Duterte at dating presidential daughter na si Veronica Duterte.
Respondents naman dito sina Executive Sec. Lucas Bersamin, Justice Sec. Boying Remulla, Philippine National Police (PNP) Chief Rommel Marbil, Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) Chief Nicolas Torre III, Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) Sec. Enrique Manalo, Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) Chief Romeo Brawner, Usec. Antonio Alcantara ng Philippine Center on Transnational Crime at dating Immigration Commissioner Norman Tansingco.
