Walang special treatment na mangyayari lalo na sa pag-apruba sa mga candidate vaccines para sa COVID-19.
Ito ang tiniyak ng Food and Drug Administration (FDA) sa kabila ng pahayag ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte na ipaprayoridad ng pamahalaan ang COVID-19 vaccines na dine-develop ng China at Russia kapag napatunayang ligtas at epektibo.
Ayon kay FDA Director General Eric Domingo, lahat ng mga bakuna ay masusing sinusuri at mahigpit na ine-evaluate.
“All of the vaccines will be checked expeditiously and will be evaluated expeditiously. There will be no special treatment for any of the vaccines,” sabi ni Domingo.
Paniniguro pa ni Domingo, ang lahat ng proseso ay magiging patas sa lahat ng bakuna.
“For the FDA, the process will [be the same] for everybody, for all vaccines. It will not vary from vaccine to vaccine,” dagdag ni Domingo.
Sinabi rin ni Domingo na ang regulatory processes ay pabibilisin para sa lahat ng applications para sa COVID-19 candidate vaccines.
“[The] safety and efficacy assurance checks will be the same but what we are going to do is do it faster by employing a team that is really dedicated to it; getting our experts involved to evaluate it quickly,” ayon kay Domingo.
“We will do it faster but all of the steps will still be there and the safeguards,” ani Domingo.
