Metro Manila, nasa ilalim na ng General Community Quarantine

Inilagay na sa General Community Quarantine (GCQ) ang Metro Manila matapos ang dalawang buwang nasa ilalim ng Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ) at dalawang linggong Modified ECQ.

Sa ilalim ng GCQ, mas maraming negosyo at ilang sektor na ang papayagan nang magbukas.

Sa sektor ng transportasyon, unti-unting bibiyahe sa limitadong kapasidad ang mga pampublikong transportasyon at hinati ito sa dalawang bahagi.


Ang first phase ay mula June 1 hanggang 21, kung saan pinapayagan ang operasyon ng mga tren at bus augmentation, taxis, Transport Network Vehicle Services (TNVS) shuttle services, point-to-point buses, at bicycles.

Ang mga tricycle naman ay dadaan sa approval ng Local Government Unit (LGU), habang ang mga provincial buses ay bawal pa ring pumasok at lumabas sa Metro Manila.

Ang second phase mula June 22 hanggang 30, papayagan nang pumasada ang public utility buses, modern jeepney, at UV Express.

Ang AirAsia, Cebu Pacific, at Philippine Airlines ay inaasahang magsisimula rin sa unang linggo ng Hunyo.

Sa sektor ng negosyo, ang Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) ay naglabas ng guidelines hinggil sa pagbabalik operasyon ng ilang negosyo sa ilalim ng GCQ.

Sakop ng Category 1 (Full Operational Capacity) – ang mga essential industry tulad ng agriculture, fishery, forestry, manufacturing, hospital, logistics services, power, energy, water, waste collection, sewerage, at telecommunications.

Ang retail establishments ay limitado lamang sa mga grocery, supermarket, public market, at drug stores.

Maaari na ring magbukas ang ilang serbisyo tulad ng deliveries, laundry shops, gasoline stations, construction workers, at media companies.

Sakop ng Category 2 (50% hanggang full operational capacity) ang mga manufacturing activities sa beverages, cement and steel,  textiles, tobacco, paper, rubber, plastic products, computer, machinery and equipment, at transport equipment at vehicles.

Papayagan din ang mining at quarrying, electronic commerce, postal and courier services, export oriented companies, computer and household goods repair, housing services, funeral and embalming services, veterinary clinics, at ang security and investigation.

Bukod dito, kasama rin ang public at private construction projects, maging ang office administrative at support activities tulad ng photocopying, billing at record keeping services.

Sakop naman ng Category 3 (50% work-on-site, work from home, at alternative working arrangement) ang mga malls at commercial centers, financial services, legal and accounting, management consultancy, architecture and engineering, scientific and research development, advertising and market research, at computer programming.

Papayagan din ang publishing and printing services, film, music, at television production, photography services, barbershops, salons, at iba pang non-leisure wholesale and retail establishments.

Pasok din sa kategorya ang business process outsourcing, banks, money transfer services, pawnshops, microfinance institutions, rental and leasing activities, at operation ng capital markets.

Nakapaloob naman sa Category 4 (hindi papayagang mag-operate o magbukas) ang mga gym at iba pang fitness facilities, sports facilities, cinemas, theaters, karaoke, at comedy bars, night clubs, beerhouses, toystores, playgrounds, at rides.

Kabilang din sa kategorya ang mga library, museum, art galleries, botanical at zoological gardens, water parks, beaches, resorts, travel agencies, tour operators, casinos at iba pang gambling activities, massage parlors, sauna baths, facial at foot spa, waxing salons, at iba pang amusement at leisure establishments.

Ang GCQ ay inirekomenda ng Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) na magtatagal hanggang June 15.
