Task force, itinatag upang maiwasan ang pagpasok sa bansa ng Animal-Borne Diseases

Iniutos ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte ang pagbuo ng Inter-Agency Task Force o IATF na layuning magkaroon ng koordinasyon sa iba’t-ibang ahensya ng pamahalaan.

Sa Executive Order no. 105 na pirmado nila Pangulong Duterte at Executive Secretary Salvador Medialdea na nilagdaan nitong February 21, 2020.

Inaatasan si Agriculture Secretary William Dar na pamunuan ang naturang “National Task Force on Animal Borne Diseases” o NTFAD habang itinalaga namang Vice Chairperson si Health Secretary Franciso Duque at miyembro ang mga Kalihim ng Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR), Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), Department of Finance (DOF), Department of Budget and Management (DBM), Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA), Department of Transportation (DOTr), Department of National Defense (DND), Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), Department of Justice (DOJ), Department of Tourism (DOT), Bureau of Customs (BOC) at Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA).


Layunin ng NTFAD na bumuo ng mga polisiya, regulasyon para matugunan ang isyu sa mga animal-born disease gaya ng African Swine Fever o ASF.

Dapat rin sila mag-develop ng national risk reduction program at comprehensive framework para matiyak na hindi kakalat ang ano mang sakit na galing sa hayop.

Kabilang sa mga dapat tutukan rin ng task force ang zoning plans at pagsusulong ng public awareness campaign.

Inatasan naman ang DBM na maghanap ng mapapagkuhanan ng pondong kinakailangan ng task force.
