Nagkaloob ang Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR) ng 11 panibagong Patient Transport Vehicles (PTVs) sa iba’t ibang LGU at institusyon nitong Huwebes, Nobyembre 20, bilang suporta sa pagpapalakas ng serbisyong pangkalusugan lalo na sa mga lugar na malayo sa mga ospital.
Kabilang sa mga bagong benepisyaryo ang mga bayan ng Pandi (Bulacan), Barbaza (Antique), Ipil (Zamboanga Sibugay), Lubao (Pampanga), Vintar at Piddig (Ilocos Norte), Claveria (Misamis Oriental), San Carlos City (Pangasinan) at Maasin City (Southern Leyte).
Tumanggap din ng tig-isang unit ang San Lorenzo Ruiz General Hospital sa Malabon City at Sorsogon State University sa Sorsogon City.

Ayon kay PAGCOR Chairman and CEO Alejandro H. Tengco, patuloy ang misyon ng ahensya na palakasin ang healthcare system sa mga komunidad sa pamamagitan ng pagbibigay ng maaasahang emergency support vehicles.
“We donate these PTVs because we want to help build healthier and more resilient communities,” ani G. Tengco. “Each vehicle represents a lifeline that can bring patients to safety and ensure timely medical attention. We hope our beneficiaries will take care of these units and use them to serve those who need them most.”
Lubos namang nagpasalamat si San Lorenzo Ruiz General Hospital Medical Center Chief Dr. Marilou T. Nery, na sinabing malaking tulong ang ambulansya sa kanilang outreach at public health programs.

Sa nakalipas na siyam na buwan, umabot na sa 153 PTVs ang naipamahagi ng PAGCOR sa LGUs, ahensya ng gobyerno at iba pang institusyon sa buong bansa, kabilang ang 70 unit na kamakailan ay nai- turn over sa Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office.
