Umabot na sa 1,380 fully vaccinated Filipinos ang naka-enroll sa 12-buwang “immunosurveillance” program na layong malaman ang bisa ng COVID-19 vaccines na pinagkalooban ng Emergency Use Authorization (EUA) sa bansa.
Ayon kay Department of Science and Technology (DOST) Secretary Fortunato Dela Peña, nasa 5,000 participants ang target sa pag-aaral.
Katuwang sa pag-aaral ang Philippine Society for Microbiology and Infectious Diseases (PSMID), local government units (LGU) at Department of Health (DOH).
“The project team has been able to finalize the discussions with the eight trial sites, and is currently putting together the Clinical Trial Agreements per site,” sabi ni Dela Peña.
Ang antibody testing ay isasagawa sa week 2, 12, 24, 36, at 52 matapos matanggap ng participant ang second dose.
