Lusot na sa Commission on Appointments (CA) ang 35 senior officers ng Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP).
Inirekomenda ng Committee on National Defense ng CA ang pagapruba sa mas mataas na ranggo ng mga AFP officials.
13 na Captain ng Philippine Navy, 4 na Colonel ng Philippine Army, 9 Colonel ng Philippine Air Force, 5 Colonel ng Philippine Navy-Marines, 3 Colonel Nurse Corps at isang Colonel Judge Advocate General Service ang inaprubahan ng CA.
Si Senate President Tito Sotto III ang nagpreside sa sesyon at mabilis ding inaprubahan ng CA sa plenaryo ang appointment ng mga senior officers.
