Nangunguna ang mga opisyal ng Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) sa highest paid government officials.
Base sa “Report on Salaries and Allowances” o ROSA ng Commission on Audit (COA), anim mula 10 opisyal na nakakatanggap ng mataas na sahod ay galing sa BSP.
Nananatili sa unang pwesto ang dating BSP governor na si Nestor Espenilla Jr. na may total pay na ₱21.047 million.
Si Espenilla ay pumanaw nitong Pebrero sa edad na 60 dahil sa sakit na cancer at pinalitan siya ni Budget Secretary Benjamin Diokno.
Ikalawa sa listahan ay si Development Bank of the Philippines (DBP) President and Chief Executive Officer Cecilia Borromeo na may total pay na ₱15.803 million.
Pumangatlo si BSP Deputy Governor for Monetary and Economics Diwa Gunigundo na may total pay na ₱14.411 million.
Ika-apat si BSP Deputy Governor for Resource Management na si Maria Almasara Cyd Tuaño-Amador na may total pay na ₱13.867 million.
Nasa pang-limang pwesto si BSP Deputy Governor for Financial Supervision Chuchi Fonacier na may ₱13.504 million total pay
Pang-anim si Solicitor General Jose Calida na may ₱12.469 million total pay.
Nasa ikapitong pwesto si BSP Assistant Governor for Financial Market Operations Ma. Ramona Gertrudes Santiago na may ₱11.322 million total pay.
Pang-walo si Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) President and General Manager Jesus Clint Aranas na may ₱11.1 million.
Nasa siyam na pwesto si Supreme Court Chief Justice Lucas Bersamin na may total pay na ₱10.919 million.
Ika-sampung pwesto si BSP Assistant Governor for International Monetary Affairs and Surveillance Wilhelmina Mañalac na may total pay na ₱10.888 million.
Kabuoang 8,625 officials mula sa 989 national government agencies, government-owned and controlled corporations, state universities and colleges at water districts ang kasama sa 2018 ROSA list.
Hindi rito kasama ang mga inihalal na government officials tulad ng pangulo, mga senador at mga kongresista.
