Manila, Philippines – Kabilang sina Senate President Pro Tempore Ralph Recto at Majority Leader Tito Sotto III sa 13 mga Senador na lumagda sa panukalang anti-dynasty.
Pero ayon kay Senator Recto, sang-ayon siya sa pahayag ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte na baka mahirapang ipasa ang Anti-Dynasty Bill.
Sabi ni Recto, iisip siya ng bersyon ng panukala na magiging katanggap-tanggap sa Kamara at palasyo.
Inihalimbawa ni Recto ang naipasang Anti-Dynasty Provision para sa barangay elections na katanggap-tanggap para sa lahat.
Paglilinaw naman ni Senator Sotto, hindi patas ang Anti-Dynasty Bill dahil ang tanging pinagbabawalan nitong kumandidato ay ang legal na asawa o lehitimong miyembro ng pamilya hanggang second degree relatives ng isang politiko.
Paliwanag ni Sotto, unfair ito dahil malayang makakatakbo sa anumang posisyon sa gobyerno ang mga kalaguyo ng isang incumbent official pati kapamilya ng mga ito.

I agree with the President, it will be difficult to pass an Anti-Dynasty Bill.
I signed it with amendments. Am thinking of a version that may be acceptable to the house and palace so we can move it forward. Must recall that we passed an anti-dynasty provision for the barangay elections that was acceptable to all.
