Gumaling na mula sa COVID-19 si dating Manila Archbishop Luis Antonio Cardinal Tagle.
Ito ay kinumpirma ng Pontificio Collegio Filipino (PCF) sa Roma.
Ayon kay PCF Rector Fr. Greg Gaston, malaking kagalakan sa buong simbahan ang paggaling ni Tagle.
“God wants him to continue serving in the Vatican’s office for the Missions, to bring God’s Good News of love, joy, peace, justice, forgiveness and reconciliation — all of which the world needs in a special way these days,” sabi ni Gaston.
Si Tagle ay prefect ng Congregation for the Evangelization of Peoples sa Vatican.
Nabatid na nagpositibo si Tagle sa COVID-19 nang dumating siya sa Manila galing Rome, Italy noong September 10 para sa summer break.
Si Tagle ang unang Roman curia dicastery head na nagkasakit ng virus.
Samantala, sinabi naman ni Catholic Bishops Conference of the Philippines (CBCP) Acting President Bishop Pablo David, posibleng nakuha ni Tagle ang COVID-19 pagkasakay nito ng eroplano o paglapag sa paliparan.
“He probably could not avoid being greeted by people, especially OFWs, who recognized him at the airport or inside the plane,” dagdag ni David.
