Delikado ang planong pagtatayo ng cell sites ng DITO Telecommunity sa loob ng kampo ng militar.
Ito ang pahayag ni House Committee on Constitutional Amendment Chairman at Cagayan De Oro Rep. Rufus Rodriguez kasunod ng pagkumpirma ni Department of National Defense (DND) Secretary Delfin Lorenzana na tuloy ang pagtatayo ng third telco ng cell sites sa mga kampo ng militar para sa security purposes tulad sa Globe at Smart.
Giit ni Rodriguez, 40% ng ownership ng DITO ay pagmamay-ari ng Chinese government na kaalitan ng Pilipinas sa usapin ng sigalot sa West Philippine Sea.
Kung hahayaan aniyang makapasok sa kampo ng militar ang Chinese engineers ay posible silang makapag-espiya.
“I have the apprehension that something bad will happen. If you allow them to come in, their engineers will come in, we don’t know there might be spy already that they will know the location of our installation, what are those found in our camp, delikado talaga!” pahayag ni Rodriguez sa interview ng RMN Manila.
Kaugnay nito, hinimok ni Rodriguez ang Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) na i-withdraw muna ang kontrata nito sa DITO Telecom habang hindi pa nasisimulan ang pagtatayo ng cell sites.
“Before they will be implementing the contract we should withdraw from the contract. Once it is partially implemented na we will be responsible for the damages. Pero ngayon, wala pa naman. That’s why I requested for the re-evaluation and kung possible to reseal the contract,” pahayag ng kongresista,” ani Rodriguez.
