Prices of the Philippine Red Cross’ RT-PCR test for swab and saliva are being reduced starting this September 4, 2021 as reported by PRC Chairman and CEO Senator Dick Gordon today as he slashes the amount by at least 25% for both swab and saliva tests. Prices will be reduced from Php3,800.00 to Php2,800 for a swab test and Php2,000.00 to Php1500 for a saliva test.
The price reduction announcement comes two days after PRC’s molecular laboratories (mol labs) breached the 4 Million mark of specimens tested since the start of operations of its first-ever molecular laboratory last April 2020. Since then, PRC has established 13 mol labs across the country.
The new PRC swab and saliva testing prices will start September 4, coinciding with the birthday of PRC Chairman Gordon’s beloved mother, Amelia Juico Gordon. The Gordon matriarch was a staunch humanitarian serving as Olongapo City Red Cross’ Chairperson for 28-years, of which she was also a founder.
