Manila, Philippines – Kinumpirma ng Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) na 30% ng mga lugar ng Marawi City ay ‘cleared’ na mula sa improvised explosive device (IED).
Ito ay kasabay ng nagpapatuloy ng clearing operations na bahagi ng rehabilitation ng lungsod.
Ayon kay AFP Chief Engineer, Major General Arnold Rafael Depakakibo – mula nitong Disyembre 15, aabot sa halos 3,000 assorted unexploded ordnance at higit 400 IED na ang narekober.
Ang clearing operations ay isinasagawa katuwang ang explosives and ordinance disposal company ng AFP at K-9 teams mula sa Philippine Army at Philippine Air Force.
