Nilinaw ng Commission on Elections (COMELEC) na kailangang ilipat ng mga Overseas Filipinos ang kanilang registration records para makaboto sa darating na May 2022 national at local elections.
Ayon kay COMELEC Spokesperson James Jimenez, kailangan lamang nilang magtungo sa Office of the Election Officer (OEO) kung saan nila boboto at ihahain ang kanilang application for transfer ng registration records.
Ang mga aplikante ay kailangang magdala ng dalawang forms, ang request for transfer and application for registration (OVF No. 1-B), na maaaring ma-download mula sa website ng poll body o maaari ring humingi mula sa city o municipal OEOs.
“It’s very important to disclose to the election officer that you are a former overseas voter so that they can give you the correct forms and have them processed immediately,” sabi ni Jimenez.
Ang mga aplikasyon para ilipat ang registration records mula overseas patungong Pilipinas ay mula September 1, 2020 hanggang August 31, 2021.
