Manila, Philippines – Nanguna si dating House Speaker, Davao del Norte Representative Pantaleon Alvarez sa listahan ng Congressional offices na may pinakamataas na expenses.
Base sa ulat ng Commission on Audit (COA), ang opisina ni Alvarez ay gumastos ng ₱43.7 million nitong 2017.
Lumalabas din na ang tanggapan ni Alvarez ay gumastos ng ₱30.4 million para sa “contractual consultants”.
Ikalawa mula sa 290 Congressional offices ay ang kay PBA party-list Representative Jericho Nograles na may ₱23.4 million.
Sinundan ito ng opisina ni Kalinga Representative Allen Jesse Mangaoang na may ₱22.2 million.
Ang expenditures ng bawat congressional office ay ibinase sa gastos nito sa basic salaries, foreign travels, chairmanship allocations, district or field staff allocations, representation, consultative local travels, communication, supplies, public affairs fund, central office staff, maintenance and other operating expenses (MOOE), maging equipment and furniture or fixtures.
