“I’ve been a student athlete all my life. Dili tanan leisure and enjoyment that other people of my age can enjoy I can also enjoy. It really entailed a lot of sacrifice and discipline. Maingon gyud nako nga being a student athlete was worth it because daghan kaayo sya’g experiences nga makatabang to help us grow holistically,” saysay niini.
“It really depended on how confident I was in my solutions and buti na man by the grace of God who guided me throughout the exam, the result was favorable. I’m just really also thankful na for some reason, my name is also there in the top 10,” sulti niini.
“Number one gyud (nga akong inspirasyon) akong parents because they’ve been really supporting me ever since. So, growing up, they would support us when we have tournament locally, here sa Davao or anywhere in the Philippines or even abroad while studying at the young age. They’re also committed to that lifestyle that we had. So, they sacrificed a lot, and I think, this is one way that I could show them na all their sacrifices really meant something to us, something to me,” dugang ni Diamante.
