Ang naturang Dicastery ang responsable sa mga order at religious congregations kasama na ang secular institutes.
Si Bro. Armin din ang unang Asian superior general ng Institute of the Brothers of the Christian Schools o mas kilala bilang Lasallian Brothers.
Nanungkulan naman siyang kalihim ng DepEd sa ilalim ng administrasyon ni dating Pangulong Benigno Aquino III.
