Davao City – Gipakusgan karon sa Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) ang
ilang operasyon batok sa mga passport fixers ug mga scammers.
Gibutyag ni DFA Director Ricarte Abejuela III dul-an 30 na ka scammers ang
nasikop atol sa operasyon sa National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) ug
Philippine National Police (PNP) didto sa Taguig, Parañaque ug sa Pasay.
“We take all of these allegations seriously; in fact we had successful
operations with the Philippine National Police and the National Bureau of
Investigation. Nagpanggap po sila na empleyado ng DFA but wala po silang
koneksyon sa amin. Those 23 that were arrested by the PNP currently on
going na ang pag-file ng kaso against them,” sumala ni Abejuela.
Giklaro niini nga base sa ilang gihimong imbestigasyon wala gayuy empleyado
sa DFA nga nagapabayad og appointment subay sa pasangil sa nag-viral nga
social media post.
“There is no substantial evidence proving that any employee of the
Department of Foreign Affairs is involved in selling any appointment
slots,” sumala ni Abejuela.
Gipahibalo niini sa publiko nga walay bayad ang appointment sa pagkuha og
pasaporte, ug adunay opisyal nga website ang DFA, ang passport.gov.ph para
magpa-skedyul.
