Ang Dating feature nagapahanugot sa mga users nga maka ‘meet’ kag makasugot sang conversation sa ila potential matches base sa ila ‘preference’ kag ‘interests.’
Ginpahayag ni Charmaine Hung, Technical Program manager sang Facebook Dating, ila nanotisyahan nga masobra 200 million ka tawo ang nagbutang sang “single” sa ila Facebook kag madamo sang mga Filipino ang nagahimo sang connections kag nagacelebrate sang ila relationships paagi sa Facebook.
Ang Dating feature makita man sa sulod sang Facebook app apang ang kon luyag sang user nga makigbahin, ginarequire sila nga maghimo sang separado nga Dating profile.
Ang magasulod sa Dating feature makabaton naman sang suggestions nga makaconnect sa mga tawo nga indi nila ‘friend’ sa Facebook kag ‘optionally’ makaconnect sa ‘friends of friends’ sa Facebook.
“We know that not everyone who is single wants to date and not everyone who wants to date, wants to date online. So we do think this is a really incredible opportunity to help people,” ang pahayag ni Hung.
“We are really focused on meaningful relationships. I think that’s what we really want to use this product for. We’ve taken out the games, the swiping, we really want you to be open to making new relationships… Online dating is really scary for some people because you get a lot of scams, fake profiles, catfishing, all of this stuff make online dating have a really bad reputation…We want everyone know that this a real person behind the profile and make you feel comfortable using it.”
