DTI-LDN SMERA – Small & Medium Enterprise Rov ing Academy goes to Linamon, Lanao del Norte

 The SME Roving Academy is a continuous learning program for the development of micro, small and medium enterprises to become competitive in the domestic and international markets.  These learning activities are brought to the municipalities to assist the entrepreneurs in their respective areas. 
The SMERA – Consumer Education, Entrepreneurship Development Training and BEST Game was conducted on March 9, 2017 at the Civic Auditorium, Poblacion, Linamon, Lanao del Norte.  A total of twenty five (25) participants representing the existing & potential MSMEs from the Food Sector and Trading & Services registered for the one day training.  The Municipal Mayor Randy J. Macapil gave the Welcome Remarks and he emphasized the importance of attending such trainings for the development and improvement of the business entrepreneurs of Linamon.
 
The 0ne-day training covered the topics on Consumer awareness on their Rights & Responsibilities and Entrepreneurship development and the actual experience through the BEST (Business Expense Savings Training) Game.  The Eight (8) Basic Consumer Rights and Five (5) Consumer Responsibilities were discussed by DTI Senior Trade and Industry Development Specialist from the Consumer Welfare Division Minda M. Usman while mind-setting for entrepreneurial skills & BEST Game were handled by DTI Senior Trade and Industry Development Specialist from the Business Development Division Doc. Maria Lourdes S. Tiongco.  The participants hoped to improve and expand their businesses after the Level 1 training and move on to Level 2.  

The participants were grateful for the training despite the rainy day and the Customer Satisfaction Feedback rating was 64% Outstanding and 36% Very Satisfactory.  The participants would love to attend the next level training session on SME Roving Academy.
