The Employees’ Compensation Commission (ECC) has been joining the Civil Service Commission’s (CSC) 121st anniversary month-long celebration by way of holding a series of activities this September.
ECC employees have participated in the online Zumba session on 1 September. For two consecutive Fridays of September, they were able to feast their eyes with the online film showing that featured Dekada 70 and Adela.
On the second week of its celebration bannering the theme, Linggo ng Paglilinang ng Yamang Tao, which focused on HR events and skills development activities for government workers and also the public, ECC-Makati, hosted a special program on “Urban Gardening 101 Webinar via Zoom. All ECC Makati staff and employees, as well as Regional Extension Unit (REU) officers were in complete attendance on 13 September 2021.
The creator of the “Urban Gardening Mom Vlog” Atty. Flor De Castro spoke on the three “S” as a ‘must know’ among ‘plantitos’ and ‘plantitas’. These are the Sunlight, Seed Germination, and Soil. The lawyer-blogger emphasized that one should know his/her plant’s needs. Some plants need full sunlight while others only partial sunlight exposure. And one must know the right kind of seed that germinates best in a tropical environment. Good soil with the help of potting mix will make plants grow well.
“If you have the passion for growing plants, you can do it and the plants will thrive,” said the lawyer-vlogger.” And that you should allocate a little more time should you want to grow the varieties you like most,” she concluded.
