Muling nabawasan ang mga frontliner na tumutugon sa coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) matapos pumanaw ang isang doktor na dinapuan ng nasabing virus.
Sa isang Facebook post, kinumpirma ng Asian Hospital and Medical Center ang pagpanaw ng 40-taong-gulang na manggagamot na si Dr. Mary Grace Lim nitong Lunes.
“Sorrow befalls upon our hospital as we have lost one of our own in the fight against this pandemic. We have lost a remarkable doctor, a good friend, and mentor to our budding health care workers,” bahagi ng mensahe ng pagamutan.
Isa si Dr. Lim sa mga tumulong para ma-accredit ulit ang prestihiyosong ospital sa Joint Commission International or JCI.
Nagtratrabaho ang namayapang doktora sa Department of Emergency Medicine at Quality Management Group.
Nakatakda sana siyang magdiwang ng ika-41 na kaarawan sa darating na Mayo 20.
“She has affected and helped countless lives in her wonderful journey in Asian Hospital and Medical Center… We may have lost a great frontliner to COVID-19, but as one family, we promise her and our countrymen, now more than ever, that we will remain unfazed and will keep on fighting to finally put an end to this pandemic,” saad pa ng AHMC.
Idinaos naman ang isang special mass bilang pagkilala sa naging kontribusyon ni Lim sa larangan ng medisina.
Batay sa huling datos ng Philippine Medical Association (PMA), 10 doktor na ang namatay bunsod ng COVID-19.
