Davao City – Gikondena sa Integrated Bar of the Philippines (IBP) Davao City Chapter ang sunod-sunod nga pagpamusil sa mga abogado.
Niapilar si IBP Davao City Chapter President Atty. Rogelio Largo sa PNP alang sa paspas ug makuting imbestigasyon para mahatagan og katin-awan ang pagpusil-patay kang Atty. Connie Villamor sa Tagum City ug pagpusil usab kang Atty. Wilmer Donasco sa may Ecoland ning syudad.
“We want to know who are responsible for this, who are these gunmen and they should be identified, we want them to be persecuted to the full extent of the law so that Attorney Donasco and the family of Attorney Villamor in Tagum will get justice that they deserved,” matud ni Largo.
Makigtagbo si Largo sa kapulisan aron maaksyunan kini nga krimen ug mahatagan og igong proteksyon ang legal community ug dili na subling mahitabo ang parehong insidente.
“If the lawyer is attacked we can always include among the possibilities that there is job related, that’s why we are always worried if there is a lawyer that is murdered or killed,” matud niini.
Gipasabot ni Largo nga igo lamang gihimo sa mga abogado ang ilang trabaho para sa maserbisyuhan ang katawhan.
“Lawyers are just doing their jobs they should not be targeted, they are helping in the administration of justice so they should be protected against any attack or attempt on their lives,” matud ni Largo.
Gipahimangnuan si Largo ang iyang mga kaubanan sa buhat nga magpabiling alerto apan dili mahuraw niining mga maduguong hitabo.
“We call our lawyers to be vigilant, we shall always take care of ourselves but we should not somehow feel intimidated because we have a duty to perform, we have a duty to the society, we have the duty in court and we have a duty to our client so even with this risk that are associated with our profession we should remain steadfast and committed to help in the dispensation of justice in our society,” sumala niini.
Samtang gimanduan ni Police Regional Office XI Regional Director Chief Superintendent Marcelo Morales ang mga labaw sa Tagum City Police ug Davao City Police Office (DCPO) nga tutukan ang maong mga kaso aron madakpan kining mga ‘riding in tandem’ suspects nga nibaril sa mga biktima.
Gidasig ni Morales ang mga abogado nga mamahimong mudangop gilayon sa mga awtoridad kung aduna silay hulga sa ilang mga kinabuhi.
