Iginiit ni House Committee on Appropriations chairman at Ako Bicol Party-list Rep. Elizaldy Co na fake news ang report na mayroon umanong ₱1.6 billion na confidential funds ang House of Representatives.
Binigyang diin naman ni Committee Senior Vice Chairperson at Marikina Representative Stella Quimbo na walang confidential funds ang Kamara.
Ayon kay Quimbo, ang lumutang na ₱1.6 billion ay “extraordinary expenses” na katulad ng ginagastos sa panahon ng kalamidad.
Paliwanag ni Quimbo, hindi katulad ng confidential funds, ang extraordinary expenses ay “fully auditable” o isinasailalim sa audit.
