15 pang mga gamot laban sa cancer, high cholesterol, hypertension, at mental illness ang exempted sa Value Added Tax (VAT) alinsunod sa Revenue Memorandum Circular na inisyu ni Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) Commissioner Romeo D. Lumagui Jr.
Sinabi ni Commissioner Lumagui na ang circular ay bilang tugon sa updated list ng VAT-Exempt Products mula sa Food and Drug Administration (FDA) sa ilalim ng Republic Act No. 10963 at 11534 o ang TRAIN at CREATE Laws.
Ilan lamang sa mga gamot na exempted para sa cancer ang avelumab at olaparib sa high cholesterol naman ang rosuvastatin 10mg, olmesartan sa hypertension at sodium valporate at valporic acid sa mental illness.
