Nilagdaan na ng Pilipinas at China ang mga kasunduang nagsusulong ng investment cooperation at drug rehabilitation efforts.
Sa bilateral meeting nina Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte at Chinese President Xi Jinping sa second Belt and Road Forum, pinirmahan ang mga sumusunod:
- Exchange of Letters on Production Capacity and Investment Cooperation Between the Philippines and China
- Hand-over certificate grant-aid for the dangerous drugs abuse treatment and rehabilitation centers project between the government of the Republic of the Philippines and the Government of the People’s Republic of China
Ayon kay Presidential spokesperson Salvador Panelo – ang unang kasunduan ay magmumungkahing magkaroon ng “project list” na siyang magsisilbing focus of cooperation sa pagitan ng National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA) ng Pilipinas at National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) ng China.
Ang ikalawang kasunduan naman ay ceremonial hand-over ng drug treatment facilities sa Sarangani at Agusan del Norte.
