Kris Aquino, umaming nasasaktan sa komentong ‘sakim’ ang nanay

“Nobody was as simple as her.”

Ito ang iginiit ni Kris Aquino sa kanyang mensahe para sa death anniversary ni dating Pangulong Cory Aquino, Agosto 1.

Sa Instagram at Facebook, muling inalala ng Queen of All Media ang ilan sa paboritong memorya ng ina, partikular ang isa sa mga paborito umano nitong kuwintas noong nabubuhay pa.

“Hindi mahilig sa branded things ang mom ko, but this was 1 of her favorite necklaces… i believe it was a gift, possibly from tita virgie ramos (?)… but she wore this Chanel pearl necklace constantly. this is only an accessory, not actual south sea or cultured pearls,” panimula niya sa kanyang Facebook post.

Aniya, walang hilig ang ina pati na ang mga kapatid sa mga alahas kaya naman nasasaktan siya tuwing sinasabihang sakim ang namayapang ina sa kapangyarihan at kayamanan.

“Siguro kaya hindi ako naglakas loob pasukin ang public service (at hindi pa makita in the near future) because apart from my health issues, BILIN ng mom: kristina, enter public service when you are ready to be simple and no longer excited about material possessions,” ani Kris sa post.

Nabanggit din ni Kris na hindi na siya masyadong “shopaholic” pero aminadong mahilig pa rin sa branded items at sneakers.

“So until i can live up to my mom’s standards, bashers who say wala akong alam (same accusation against my mom, sana bago naman) save your hate. Hindi ko ipapahiya ang Mom ko dahil alam kong hindi ko pa kaya.

“Thanks, mom for also teaching me to be responsible for those who take care of us,” ani Kris.

Sa Instagram naman, binalikan ni Kris ang alaala ng isang litratong kuha raw noong taon bago malaman na may cancer ang namayapang ina.

Thank you @jcbuendia_ for sending me this picture. To the best of my recollection this picture was taken February 14, 2008, a month before Mom was diagnosed with cancer, during a birthday dinner in our then Valle Verde home. i recognized the chairs & the red curtain backdrop as part of the setup done. i also remember that food was all fondue, beef or seafood, cheese as appetizer, and uso nung time na yun- chocolate fondue with your choice of fruits or sponge cake or cookies to dip. Kuya was 12 years old, Bimb was 10 months old. As you can see, uso rin ang manipis na kilay & super shimmer na eye shadow. Cute na Mom & i were both wearing fuchsia and had bright smiles on our faces. Soon as i get home, i’ll have a digital printout of this picture & see what we can do to further enhance it. Weird diba, we were both photographed so often pero in real life, hindi kami mahilig mag pa picture. Me ang reason ko, i do shoots for work. Until now, if you check my feed, konti ang selfies, and i prefer videos or pics w/ my sons or pics of my sons. Tomorrow i know you’ll understand why i’ll choose to be off-line. Si dating Pangulong Cory o Maria Corazon Cojuangco Aquino ay pumanaw noong Agosto 1, 2009, sa edad na 76.

Dinagsa ng masang nagmamahal at humanga kay Cory ang kanyang martsa-libing mula Manila Cathedral patungong Manila Memorial Park noong Agosto 5 sa parehong taon.
