Manila, Philippines – Binigyang diin ngayon ni Senate President Koko Pimentel na walang mali sa ginagawang pagtulong ng tropa ng Estados Unidos sa pakikipagbakbakan ng ating mga sundalo kontra sa Maute Terror Group.
Reaksyon ito ni Pimentel kaugnay sa technical at logistical support ng tropa ng Estados Unidos sa AFP o Armed Forces of the Philippines.
Ayon kay Senator Pimentel, hindi pinagbabawal sa konstitusyon ang pagbibigay ng US troops ng nabanggit na tulong.
Paliwanag pa ni Pimentel, maraming kasunduan ang namamagitan sa Sandatahang Lakas ng bansa at tropa ng Amerika kaya’t may mga maaaring gawin at ibigay na tulong ang Estado Unidos.
“The PH military has in place numerous agreements wt the US military. They can do things under these agreements for as long as they are not against our constitution. Technical and logistical support are not prohibited under the terms of our constitution. Hence, unless, there is a case decision to the contrary, must be presumed to be constitutional.- Sen.
