Tumanggap ng P6.75 milyong pondo mula sa Philippine Amusement and Gaming
Corporation (PAGCOR) ang Quirino Memorial Medical Center (QMMC) para sa
pagbili ng limang neonatal incubator na layong mapabuti ang serbisyo ng ospital
para sa mga bagong silang na sanggol.
Pormal na isinagawa ang turnover noong Lunes, Hunyo 23, sa inisyatibo ni Quezon
City 3rd District Rep. Franz Pumaren, na humiling ng suporta mula sa PAGCOR para
matugunan ang pangangailangan ng ospital sa makabagong medical equipment.
Ang QMMC, isang pampublikong tertiary hospital na kilala rin bilang “Labor
Hospital,” ay nagseserbisyo sa libo-libong ina at sanggol na karamihan ay mula sa
mga low-income community.
Pinangunahan ni PAGCOR Vice President for Corporate Social Responsibility
Ramon Stephen Villaflor ang turnover ceremony sa boardroom ng ospital, kung saan
opisyal niyang ipinagkaloob ang tseke kay QMMC Chief Dr. Evelyn Reside.
“PAGCOR recognizes the vital role that institutions like QMMC play in safeguarding
the lives of mothers and newborns. Through this donation, we hope to help ensure
access to safer and more efficient medical care, especially among the poor,” ani
Villaflor.
Nagpasalamat si Dr. Reside sa donasyon mula sa PAGCOR at sinabing malaki ang
maitutulong ng mga bagong incubator sa kanilang neonatal services.
“With the increasing number of childbirths we handle daily, having updated
equipment will make a big difference in ensuring the survival and well-being of our
premature and at-risk infants,” aniya.
Samantala, sinabi ni Rep. Pumaren na ang tulong ay hakbang para mapalapit ang
kalidad ng serbisyo ng QMMC sa antas ng mga pribadong ospital.
“This will allow the hospital to expand its capabilities and better serve our
constituents, particularly newborns who require specialized care,” pahayag niya.
