The festive season has long started in the Philippines, and just a few days shy away from Christmas day, Radio Mindanao Networks (RMN) has officially launched its 2021 Christmas station ID on Wednesday, December 1.
Through RMN Content Management and Development Group, headed by Mart Elias Carlo M. Marañon, the theme Makakarating Ngayong Pasko, is offered and shared to the audiences – a song that tackles hope, strength, and love in times of adversity — an uplifting reminder that no matter what happens, the Christmas essence remains the same for Filipinos.
The original composition by Jan Aldrin Belisario is performed by artists and personalities coming together in a heartwarming music video produced and directed by Von Arroyo. Among these are today’s finest singers, including Lani Misalucha, Martin Nievera, Wency Cornejo, Jessa Zaragoza, Liezel Garcia, Ronnie Liang, Ana Ramsey, Thor Dulay, Elha Nympha, Cooky Chua, Fabio Santos, Hashtag CK, and Makki Lucino.
It also showcases RMN DJs and reporters, as well as ordinary Filipinos whose lives have been greatly impacted by RMN and RMN Foundation. These individuals share their stories of hope, resilience and inspiration in the music video.
The anthem’s simple yet powerful message certainly leaves a mark to every listener. “At makakarating sa tahanan, kapaskuhan, pagmamahalan. At makakarating sa bayan ang ningning ng kalangitan,” the song goes. Fans can now expect to catch Makakarating Ngayong Pasko on all 32 RMN stations and their respective Facebook and YouTube pages.
As remarkable as it is, the Christmas Station ID 2021 is only a chunk of RMN’s Christmas efforts this year. To highlight the network’s commitment to public service and broadcasting for Filipinos, while making the holiday season even brighter, the network has also prepared a variety of activities.
This includes Ngayong Pasko, Panalo Ka!, an on-air and online segment encompassing game activities with cash prizes and giftpacks, running from December 2 to January 15. You can look forward to Ningning ng Pasko as well, a synchronized Christmas tree lighting activity on December 17. Involving areas across the nation, the event will be broadcasted live on radio and RMN’s Facebook pages.
