PCSO welcomes the order of RTC Makati for TMA to return to PCSO P707,223,555.44 of PCSO funds.
The RTC-Makati City, in its February 15, 2021 Writ of Execution ordered TMA GROUP OF COMPANIES PTY LTD. (now known as TMA AUTRALIA PTY LTD.) and TMA GROUP OF PHILIPPINES, INC. to immediately return PCSO’s funds which TMA previously garnished. Such order stemmed from the august 28, 2019 decision of the Supreme Court declaring the orders of the court to garnish PCSO funds as void.
The Notice of Compliance and Writ of Execution were served at TMA’s business office address located in Calamba, Laguna while Notices of Garnishment were served to several banks directing them to garnish any other receivable/s and personal properties in their possession or under their control belonging to TMA, among others.
According to General Manager Royina Marzan Garma, the decision of the Makati RTC came at a very opportune time when the government is struggling for funds to support the COVID-19 pandemic measures. The more than 707 million funds to be returned to PCSO will help a long way in the provision of medical assistance to our fellow countrymen particularly the poorest of the poor.
