Nilinaw ng pamunuan ng Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA) na wala silang kinalaman o partisipasyon sa reklamong inihain ni MMDA Spokesperson at Assistant Secretary Celine Pialago laban kay Doris Bigornia ng ABS-CBN News.
Ito ang ipinabatid ni MMDA General Manager Jojo Garcia kay Bigornia matapos magpadala ng sulat sa tanggapan noong Agosto 8 para sagutin ang mga paratang ni Pialago.
“We would like to inform you that Asec. Pialago’s letter is personal in nature. It does not reflect or represent the MMDA as institution despite the said letter being printed on the official letterhead. We did not sanction the same and was done at her personal behest,” tugon ng opisyal sa mamamahayag.
Ayon pa kay Garcia, maayos ang “working relationship” ng naturang ahensiya sa news personality.
Aniya, “Some scathing reporting alongside, your persistence and dedication in covering news concerning traffic and flooding made the public more aware of the MMDA’s efforts in serving the greater Metro Manila.”
Inihayag din ng ahensiya na magsasagawa sila ng sariling imbestigasyon kaugnay sa insidenteng kinasasangkutan ng dalawa.
Pagtitiyak ng MMDA, magiging patas ito sa gagawing pagsisiyasat.
Matatandaang nagsumite ng complaint letter si Pialago sa pinuno ng ABS-CBN News and Current Affairs division na si Ging Reyes, departamentong kinabibilangan ni Bigornia.
