A 50-year-old market vendor from Muntinlupa City was the latest Filipino millionaire after winning the ₱25,111,918.20 jackpot prize from the PCSO MegaLotto draw held on December 15, 2025.
The lucky bettor, who has been playing lotto since the inception of the PCSO lotto games, claimed his prize at the PCSO Main Office in Mandaluyong City. His winning combination, 10-21-23-30-01-15, was derived from the birthdays of his family members.
For decades, the winner earned a modest living selling vegetables by the side of a public market. He recalled that there were times when he had to borrow money to raise capital for his small stall, patiently working day by day to make ends meet and provide for his family. “Kahit papano’y nakakaraos naman po sa pang-araw-araw,” he added.
The vendor said he did not inform his wife about his plan to claim the prize. Instead, he told her he was going out to look for ₱500 to use as capital for his endeavor. “Hindi po niya alam na kukubra na pala ako ng lotto,” he said with a smile.
The new millionaire plans to use his winnings wisely. His top priority is to invest in a more permanent market space, allowing him to secure a more stable source of income for his family. He also intends to save a portion of his winnings and ensure that his family’s daily needs are well provided for.
The winner expressed gratitude for the life-changing opportunity, saying he never imagined that years of consistent lotto betting would one day pay off in such a big way.
