New Year’s Blessings: Lipa City Store Owner Hits P5.9-M Jackpot in Lotto 6/42

A store owner from Lipa City, Batangas, welcomed the New Year with luck and blessings after winning P5,940,000.00 in the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office’s (PCSO) Lotto 6/42 draw held on January 1, 2026.

The jackpot-winning combination 34-35-38-01-18-41 was generated through a lucky pick, a selection method the winner had often relied on during his years of regular participation in the lotto.

The winner has been a loyal lotto patron for nearly 12 years, placing bets regularly after opening his small store. For him, playing the lotto had become part of his daily routine—simple, hopeful, and consistent.

Little did he know that the first draw of the year would turn this routine into a life-changing moment.

Life has been good for the Batangueño lotto player, who shared that he has always managed to get by in his day-to-day life. Over time, playing the lotto became more of a hobby than a necessity, something he enjoyed rather than depended on.

When asked about his plans for the winnings, the winner said, “Ide-deposito muna po ang pera. Maaari po itong maidagdag sa aking negosyo.”

PCSO, for its part, continues to remind the public to engage in responsible gaming and to keep in mind that every lotto ticket purchased helps fund the agency’s various charitable programs and public service initiatives. PCSO also celebrates the joy that comes with turning small bets into life-changing opportunities.

The Lotto 6/42 draws are conducted every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday at 9:00 p.m., with live draws aired over IBC 13 and D8TV, and streamed via the official PCSO website (www.pcso.gov.ph), PCSO Games Hub, and the agency’s official Facebook and YouTube channels.
