Humingi ng paumanhin si Omar Vincent Duterte, anak ni Davao City 1st District Representative Paolo Duterte at apo ni PRRD, matapos labagin ang quarantine protocol ng isang supermarket sa Davao City na maghugas ng kamay at magpakuha muna ng temperatura bago pumasok sa loob.
Paliwanag ng presidential grandson, sumunod na siya sa proper hand sanitation at nagsuot na rin ng gloves bago pa pumunta sa SnR Davao.
“Although I personally would have laughed at the idea of washing hands in front of people while not a moment ago they just saw us putting on gloves and washing them. It seems that some people took the protocols to the letter that even latex gloves aren’t enough to prevent the virus from infecting our hands within those gloves. To those people who felt I should have followed protocol whilst being fully gloved, I’m sorry,” sabi ni Omar sa kaniyang Facebook post.
“Had I known that it shouldn’t be seen as comedic to wash your hands moments after putting on gloves, I would have gladly just washed my hands and followed the protocol. I know this is not a laughing matter and for this, I cannot begin to express the great feeling of remorse of not following the protocols thinking that the gloves were enough. For this, I’m sorry,” dagdag pa ng supling ng mambabatas.
Aminado si Omar na naging insensitibo siya sa pagbili ng pagkain na ihahanda sana niya sa selebrasyon ng first wedding anniversary nila ng misis na si Jenny.
Naisip na raw niya noong una na makuntento na lamang sa lutong-bahay at glass wine para sa naturang pagdiriwang dahil may kinakaharap ngayon na krisis ang buong bansa.
“But I now know that even with all your preparations, protocols are protocols and no one is above them. Even though they insisted on me going through without me washing my hands, I should have insisted in washing them instead,” pagpapatuloy ni Omar.
Nabatid na nag-sorry nitong umaga ang kaniyang tatay sa pamunuan ng SnR Davao hinggil sa nasabing insidente.
Sinabi ng kongresista na makakaasa ang publiko na aaksyunan niya ang pagkakamali ng anak.
Pinapaimbestigahan na rin niya sa Presidential Security Group (PSG) ang diumano “misconduct” ng kasamang security team ni Omar.
