Nanawagan si dating Supreme Court Senior Associate Justice Antonio Carpio sa social media giants na Facebook at Twitter na i-require ang kanilang mga users na gamitin ang kanilang tunay na pangalan sa kanilang mga accounts.
Ito ay upang sila ay maging responsable at maiwasan ang pagpapakalat ng peke at malisyosong mga ulat.
Ayon kay Carpio, mapipigilan din nito ang pag-atake sa mga grupo at mga personalidad.

Sinabi ni Carpio na karamihan sa mga trolls ay nagmumula sa Fujian Province sa China.

You will weigh every word you put there because you could be sued for libel. You could be laughed at if you are expressing something ridiculous,” sabi ni Carpio.
Pinuna ni Carpio ang mga social media companies na hinahayaan nila gumawa ang mga tao ng account na may peke at gawa-gawang pangalan.
“So, our discourse in online platforms has become so polluted, so vicious, so unreasonable already because online platforms allow anonymous, fictitious people to make comments without any responsibility,” sambit ni Carpio.
Gayumpaman, pinuri naman ni Carpio ang mga media organizations na nag-commit ng fact-based at credible coverage para sa nalalapit na 2022 elections.
