SARABURI PROVINCE, THAILAND – Ni-raid ng mga awtoridad ang isang pabrika sa Nonsuong sub-distriict na umano’y nagre-recycle at nagbebenta ng mga gamit na face mask noong Lunes.
Sa ulat ng The National Thailand, sinabi ng pulisya na nakatanggap sila ng reklamo tungkol sa iligal na gawain ng pasilidad.
Huli sa aktong pinaplantsa at isinisilid ng mga trabahante sa kahon ang mga naturang surgical mask.
Narekober din sa pagawaan ang isang wachine machine na pinaghihinalaang ginagamit na panlinis para magmukha ulit itong bago.
“One of the workers told us that they received the used face masks from a dealer and did not know their origins… They also got paid one baht (four Singapore cents) per piece, and they recycled around 300 to 400 masks per day per person,” saad ni Somsak Kaewsena, district chief officer sa the Wi-handaeng.
Ipinadala na sa Ministry of Commerce ang mga nakumpiskang mask upang maipasuri at maimbestigahan kung saan ito nanggaling.
“I have also contacted the Wihandaeng Public Health Office to press charges at the police station as a plaintiff against the factory, as its operation could jeopardise the health of people who buy the used face masks, as well as those in the community near the factory,” dagdag ni Somsak.
Patuloy na tinutugis ng pulisya ang may-ari ng pabrika, pati na rin ang itinuturong dealer na naghahatid ng gamit na face mask.
