With the theme “Harvest Time”, this year’s photo competition showcased the rich
creativity and insight into the agricultural resources of the Philippines and the hard
work of Filipino farmers, growers and fishermen.
PAGCOR President and COO Wilma T. Eisma, who graced the awarding ceremony
at the agency’s Corporate Office in Pasay City, underscored the competition’s
significance in recognizing the exceptional talent of Filipino photographers.

“I am grateful to be in a company that promotes art and Filipino culture while
recognizing the talent of Filipino photographers,” she said. “This competition puts
PAGCOR on the map as a staunch supporter of culture and the arts.”
Eisma added that entries for this year’s Photography Competition are not only
exceptional; they also captured the beauty and essence of the harvest season in
Philippine countryside.

“Muli tayong namangha sa ganda at kalidad ng mga entries na aming natanggap
ngayong taon. Patunay po ito na talagang napakarami nating magagaling na
photographers – professional man o amateurs,” she said.

“At kahit pa nga medyo challenging ang ating temang “Harvest Time” dahil sa
nagdaang El Niňo na ating naranasan hanggang Mayo nitong taon, libo-libo pa rin
ang lumahok at nagpadala ng kanilang mga entries.”
