Simula August 3, 2020, mandatory na ang pagsailalim sa driving course bago makakuha ng student permit o bagong driver’s license.
Sa abiso ng Land Transportation Office (LTO), ipo-proseso lamang ang student permit, driver’s license at dagdag na Restriction Code (RC) applications kung nakumpleto na ng aplikante ang driving course.
Dapat ay mayroon silang completion certificates mula sa LTO-accredited driving school, kanilang authorized driving school instructors o ng LTO-Driver Education Centers (DECs) sa LTO offices.
Pinaghahanda na rin ang lahat ng regional office at district office ng LTO para tumanggap ng electronically transmitted na Practical Driving Course (PDC) at Theoretical Driving Course (TDC) certificates.
