Umaasa ang Malacañang na ilalabas sa lalong madaling panahon ang pondo sa ilalim ng Bayanihan to Recover as One Act o Bayanihan 2.
Nabatid na pinuna ng ilang senador ang Department of Budget and Management (DBM) dahil sa mabagal na paglalabas ng pondo.
Ayon kay Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque, maaaring gamitin ang budget kahit mapaso pa ang batas sa Disyembre 19.
Binigyang diin ni Roque na ang paglalabas ng Bayanihan fuds ay makatutulong para sa paggulong ng ekonomiya ng bansa.
“They just need to be spent. But I don’t think the expenditure is subject to the expiration of the law because (the budget) has been appropriated and it’s just about to be released. So there would be no problems,” sabi ni Roque.
Sa datos ng DBM, ₱2.5 billion ang inilabas sa Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), ₱855 million sa Office of Civil Defense, nasa ₱104 million sa Local Government Units at ₱820 million sa Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA).
Hinihintay naman ang approval mula sa Office of the President para sa ₱6 billion na pondong ilalaan sa Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) at ₱8 billion naman sa Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE).
