HINDI nagustuhan ni Presidential Spokesperson Salvador Panelo ang meme na inilabas ng isang grupo sa isang social media site.
Sa Facebook post ng Malacañang Events and Catering Services, makikita ang edited na litrato ni Panelo na ineendorso ang mga tumaktabong senador mula sa oposisyon ngayong darating na halalan. Nakalagay ang kanilang mga pangalan sa isang puting kartolina at may nakasulat na “For Independent Senate”.
Pahayag ng Chief Legal Counsel, masyadong mapanira ang ginawa ng kampong ito.
“While we understand that the post is a political meme, which is the norm in this campaign season, the same however amounts to a defamatory imputation. This is nothing but false news dished out by the supporters of the political opposition which by its reckoning is headed for a resounding debacle,” dagdag pa niya.
Nanawagan din siya sa pamunuan ng Facebook na huwag maging bias sa mga ganitong pagkakataon at gawin mabuti ang kanilang trabaho.
“The attempt at maliciously misleading the voters by circulating on-line the bogus endorsement, shows that this representation has been effective in neutralising the black propaganda spread against PRRD, his family and this Administration, which the purveyors of the false news hope to succeed in impairing the credibility of the presidential spokesperson,” ani Panelo.
