Personal na sinaksihan ni Pangulong Bongbong Marcos ang “ALON Exercise 2023” sa San Antonio, Zambales kahapon.
Ito ang kauna-unahang large-scale amphibious landing military drills sa pagitan ng Armed Forces of the Philippines at Australian Defense Force.
Halos 1,800 sundalo ng Pilipinas at Australia ang lumahok sa pagsasanay gayundin ang 120 US marines.
Ayon kay Pangulong Marcos, mahalagang maipagpatuloy ang mga ganitong pagsasanay upang mapalakas kakayagan at kahandaan ng bansa sa anumang posibleng mangyari.
“I think it is an important aspect of how we prepare for any eventuality considering that there have been so many events that attest to the volatility of the region,” ani Marcos.
“This kind of exercise, this kind of close strategic cooperation between countries around the region, is extremely important,” dagdag ng pangulo.
