PCSO released 16 million endowment fund to 4 hospitals

Mandaluyong City. The Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office was created to raise funds for charity and calamities of national character.  For eighty-six years and counting, the agency has proven to be the utmost government institution that provides for the medical and financial needs of the Filipinos.  One way of fulfilling its mandate is through the Endowment Fund Program wherein, PCSO funds are deposited in Department of Health operated hospitals and partner institutions.  The funds are meant to shoulder medical expenses of underprivileged and indigent patients.

On February 3, 2021, four hospitals benefitted from the program namely, the Quirino Memorial Medical Center (QMMC), Valenzuela Medical Center (VMC), Las Piñas General Hospital and Satellite Trauma Center (LPGHSTC) and the Ospital ng Muntinlupa (OM).  A total amount of 16 Million were released to the four hospitals. An amount of 5 Million each were granted to the QMMC and VMC while 3 Million each were conferred to the LPGHSTC and OM.

“In behalf po ni Ma’am Evelyn Reside, ang Medical Center Chief po ng QMMC, maraming salamat sa PCSO Directors at lalo na kay GM Garma para sa suporta.” As quoted from one of the recipients of the checks for charity.
