PCSO TURNS OVER GRANT FOR NEWEST INSTITUTIONAL PARTNER IN MINDANAO

The Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) further strengthened its commitment to inclusive education and social welfare as it formally turned over a ₱485,000 grant to its newest institutional Partner, the Community of Hope Special Education Center (COHSEC), on December 12, 2025, at the premises of the beneficiary institution in Mindanao.

The grant, released through PCSO’s Institutional Partnership Program (IPP), was officially handed over by PCSO Misamis Occidental Branch Head Larrah Labuntog-Quintos, together with Social Worker Jelaica Cobrado. The check was received by Sister Cecilia Cuizon, SSC, Administrator of COHSEC, during a simple yet meaningful ceremony attended by members of the institution.

The financial assistance was intended to directly support COHSEC’s educational programs, which cater to children with special needs. Through this grant, the institution will be able to enhance its learning initiatives and further sustain its mission of providing quality, inclusive education to the children under its care.

The agency also reiterated its call for qualified institutions that are not yet part of the Institutional Partnership Program to apply, so they may receive assistance to augment their operational and programmatic needs.

Expressing her heartfelt gratitude, Sister Cuizon described the grant as a timely and meaningful blessing for the institution. “Truly, this is the best holiday gift that PCSO has awarded us,” she said, thanking PCSO General Manager Melquiades Robles, the PCSO Misamis Occidental Branch, the Board of Directors, and the Charity Assistance Department for helping COHSEC become an official Institutional Partner.

The partnership with COHSEC underscored PCSO’s dedication to empowering institutions that promote education, care, and hope for children, especially those who need it most.
