iFM LAOAG – The 4th Marine Brigade in Camp Cape Bojeador of Burgos, Ilocos Norte showcased their military force and capabilities as they participated in the Joint Static Display with their US Marines counterparts, 22 Apr 2023.
The display included static exhibits and demonstrations highlighting the joint forces of the two countries. “It underscored the readiness and commitment of both the Philippine and US Marine Corps in promoting regional security and stability,” said Brig. Gen. Vicente Mark Anthony Blanco III – Commander, 4th Marine Brigade (4MBde).
Prior to the landing of the 4MBde to Ilocos Norte, the troops were assigned from their former Headquarter in Barangay Tandu Bato in Luuk town, Sulu – were they manned for Internal Security Operations. As of to date, the brigade now focuses on territorial defense operations in land and sea or in the coastal areas of Ilocos Norte.
Meanwhile, in the absence of threat in the Province, the 4MBde do unilateral exercises by recalibrating their knowledge and skills in combat fighting as well as regular check-ups on their equipment, yet, ‘No live Fire Exercises’ but plain simulation. ### Bernardo B. Ver II, RMN News
