Inanunsyo ng Bureau of Immigration (BI) na deactivated na ang Port Operations Division (POD) ng BI.
Ito ay matapos aprubahan ni Department of Justice (DOJ) Secretary Jesus Crispin Remulla ang rekomendasyon ng pamunuan ng BI.
Bahagi ito ng pagre-organize at pag-streamline sa operational structure ng airport services ng BI.
Nakita kasi ng BI na ang POD ay may complex organizational system at maraming redundant at overlapping functions.
