Davao City – Dili maapektuhan sa pagkakaron ang nagpadayong lokal nga hinabing pangkalinaw nga gipanguluhan sa Davao City Peace dinhi sa dakbayan bisan pa man taliwala sa kanselasyon sa gobyerno sa peacetalks tali sa estado ug sa CPP-NPA-NDFP.
Kini maoy gibutyag ni Davao City Mayor Inday Sara Duterte Carpio atol sa interbyu sa media sa gihimong Democratic Leadership and Active Civil Society Empowerment (DELACSE) Bangsamoro National Women’s Peace Table dinhi sa dakbayan sa Davao karong adlawa.
“Walang effect ang direction sa national government with regards to suspension, cancellation of the peace talks between the GRP and the CPP- NPA-NDF because the basis of the work of the DC-Peace is the ‘general welfare clause’ under the Local Government Code. Hindi naman incompatible iyong trabaho namin atsaka trabaho ng national government, all the more na hindi siya incompatible ngayon na hindi na sila mag-pursue ng peace talks,” segun sa mayor.
Matud sa alkalde nga samtang nagpaabot ang syudad sa ipagulang opisyal nga dokumento gikan sa national government kalabot sa pagkonsidera sa NPA isip mga terorista, dili matarog ang ilang gihimong negosasyon ngadto sa mga NPA dinhi sa syudad.
“Walang suspension or cancellation ng DC-Peace except only if there is an official document about that NPAs are terrorists coming from the Office of the President but so far, walang ganoon na document, lahat nung mga nasabi are just verbal pronouncement of the president, so legally we can still continue to negotiate and talk if they still want to talk through our DC-Peace,” dugang sa alkalde.
Apan kung aduna nay deklarasyon nga ang NPA usa na ka terorista, ilang lingkuran kini sa DC-Peace diha sa mamahimong epekto niini ug unsa usab ang ilang aksyon sa gipaabot nga opisyal nga dokumento, kini maoy panapos nga katin-awan sa mayor.
