Manila, Philippines – Pasado sa panlasa ni Senator Chiz Escudero ang kontrobersyal na campaign advertisement ng Dept. of Tourism.
Reaksyon ito ni Senator Escudero sa isyu na malaki umano ang pagkakapareho ng nasabing ad sa inilabas na advertisement ng South Africa Tourism Board noong 2014.
Pero punto ni Senator Escudero, hindi na isyu kung may pakakahalintulad ito sa campaign ad ng ibang bansa basta’t walang nalalabag na intellectual property rights.
Ang mahalaga kay Senator Escudero, ito ay epektibo sa paghikayat sa mga turista na bisitahin ang Pilipinas.
“I actually like the ad, the similarities with another ad notwithstanding. For as long as no intellectual property rights were violated I see nothing wrong with having a similarly formatted ad to promote the Philippines. As long as it works and indeed entices tourists to come here,” paliwanag ni Senator Escudero.
