Naglabas na ng show cause order ang National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) sa 47 Internet Service Providers (ISPs) na nagkaroon ng kapabayaan sa pagpigil sa child pornography.
Kasunod ito ng pag-apruba ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte sa rekomendasyon ng Inter-Agency Council Against Trafficking (IACAT) na parusahan ang mga ISP na hindi tutugon sa RA 9775 o Anti-Child Pornography Act.
Ayon kay Department of Justice (DOJ) Undersecretary Emmeline Aglipay Villar na in-charge rin ng IACAT, nagsimula na ang pagdinig sa mga kaso nitong Lunes.
Dahil dito, nahaharap sa reklamo ang Philippine Long Distance Telephone Inc., (PLDT), Smart Communications Inc., Smart Broadband Inc., Digitel Mobile Philippines Inc., Globe Telecom Inc., Innove Communications Inc., Bayan Telecommunications Inc., Sky Cable Corporation Inc., Converge ICT Solutions Inc., at iba pa.
